The basset actually is our first pure bred dog we got in 1996 Her name was Katya and her story is unfortunately quite typical for many wonderful representatives of the breed. At her early age of 6 month we are her 5th owners, and she came to us hungry, scared of everything and skinnier then any of our salukis.
Katya has crossed the bridge after almost ten years, and we had to fill the gap in our hearts with another basset.
So this is Chachi Turguesa Playa, a daughter of famous Umberto van Hollandheim, European Champion, MultiChampion and 42 (if I am not mistaken ) CACIBs and Bassbarr Song of Sixpence. She is just opposite to Katya in appearance and character, but she is very sweet and polite basset, very positive and calm, and playful at the same time. She enjoys her new saluki family and believes she IS a saluki.
