Here is a fundamental research on how the colour of saluki influences his or her personality, done by Joy Mc Farlane, who kindly allowed me to publish it here.

Cream Salukis
are intensely aware of two important reasons for being alive: their drop-dead good looks and their own comfort - even if it is at someone else's expense. They have the most stunning eyes and that's the first thing that attracts the opposite sex. Never ignore this colour as their ego will be severely deflated and that's not a pretty sight. They never do anything quickly. You'll never catch a Cream Saluki making a snap decision or a rapid, impulsive body shift - unless pre-calculated, of course. They also hate change in routine because you have no right to disturb their comfort zones. Cream Salukis are extremely attractive - fantastically beautiful, actually - but they know it and will demand that you acknowledge it.  In fact, they can get quite depressed if they feel unwanted. They don't like to make decisions about whether they should go outside on your command, or later, when they may feel better up to such an excursion. Because of their "Help me, I'm precious" expression, people will do anything for them. They
are nearly always late arriving anywhere because time means nothing

Fawn Salukis
make everyone go weak at the knees they are so utterly gorgeous. These are the romantic lovers of the Saluki world. Their tender advances towards the opposite sex are determined, but gently persuasive. With not much else in the cerebral regions, these handsome specimens claim their place in the sun by virtue of sheer sex appeal and good looks. Fawn Salukis are lucky. They are the ones who look younger as they get older. They are very attractive and neat in their personal maintenance. Once they get over their shyness they can be extremely charming with two-legged members of the opposite sex as well. On a bad day they can be jealous, selfish and moody. They are very close to their family but are usually the last ones to realise that everyone's left for the training school.

Grizzle Salukis
are one of the most misunderstood signs of all the colours. People think they're fussy, critical, bad tempered and picky but that's only because they want everything to be perfect. They're extremely intelligent and inquisitive and have a dreadful time trying to relax. In fact, boredom and relaxing frightens them. Grizzle Salukis are always on the move because they like to learn as much as they can before they take off again.  They are great with kids because they never grow up themselves. They are fun loving, generous with their toys and chews, and extremely friendly with all members of the family and their visitors. Grizzle Salukis have got heaps of physical energy and are very competitive. They have to come first in every race or every queue for titbits. If they don't, they'll let you know what a bad loser they are. You can't tell a Grizzle Saluki what to do - they already know! In fact, they are the know-alls of the colour spectrum.  Never tell a Grizzle Saluki they did a bad thing. They become incredibly stroppy. Aside from that. they are affectionate and a wonderful sight to behold

Black Salukis
pretend to be tough but it's all an act. They have great memories and they remember very clearly the time you prised the Dutch Lace tablecloth out of their jaws. They love anything old, like antiques and your grandmother. They are fairly secretive and hide things - hooves and chew hides under your pillow, in your underwear drawer, in your bedroom slipper, for instance. They collect things - clothes pegs, feather dusters, digital cameras, cellphones, old bras. Other people call this garbage but to them it's gold...you'd never find a Black Saluki turning down an opportunity to horde a useful item in a secret place for one of those mystical "rainy days". Black Salukis make great mothers - they nurture socks, broken toys, old bones, and dirty mops but, at all costs, prefer to give real live, screaming, breathing babies a very wide berth.

Red Salukis are arrogant and larger than life - or so they think. Everything is "me first" and if they don't win, watch out.  As children, they love to chew the most expensive items in your home and would expect you to leave the price tag on so they can see how much they've helped you to spend. They love people who attend to them as the royals they are. They can be a bit grumpy if supper is late and may growl or sulk to show you how they feel - but that's only because they're very honest and are keen for you to know how badly you screwed up. They love to travel, but only to the beach and interesting parks. Red Salukis like to own everything, mostly food. They'll even own what's on another person's plate because their stomachs are very important. Red Salukis like to think they're more valuable and expensive than any other colour, which is probably true in terms of the damage they did as youngsters.
